SteelWind is a saxophone quartet with a solid grounding in classical music including experience with world-renowned conductors and orchestras, this is augmented further by their curiosity and their capacity to experiment.
The special guest for this program is Riviera Lazeri on cello.
The group follows the music suitably composed by Marco Vanni, Roberto Frati and Riviera Lazeri, while the projected films will be: “Le voyage dans la lune” (1902, by Georges Méliès), a masterwork that played a crucial role in the history of cinema; “The great train robbery” (1903, by Edwin S. Porter), on of the first westerns to utilise the innovative technique of the time; “Tetractisuite”, a reel that compared images and emotions, in a succession of highlighted concepts by Lorenzo Papanti.
